
Having an efficiently run and organized refrigerator makes meal planning, generating grocery lists, and daily life function much smoother. Ensuring your fridge is stocked with the essentials (listed below) will allow you to whip up almost anything with no notice whatsoever. Buy what works for you and your family.
Here’s my list of key ingredients to always have on hand in the fridge:
- unsalted butter
- tomato paste
- garlic
- a jar of capers
- vegetable (and / or chicken) broth
- fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, rosemary, cilantro, basil, etc.)
- whole milk
- heavy cream
- white cooking wine
- lemons & limes
- ginger
- avocados
- onions
- shallots
- eggs
- parmesan cheese
- carrots
- celery
- maple syrup
- greek yogurt
- tahini
- mayonaise
- dijion mustard
- kalamata olives
