I loved Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. OK, yes, it was ridiculously gory, extremely graphic, and quite disgusting at times, BUT wow what a page turner. Pretty Girls is very well written, and truly keeps you on your toes. I was hooked from the get-go, and completely captivated by the story.
…Book Club | Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner

Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner is a fantastic read. This book was incredibly captivating. I read this book cover to cover in under ten days. It was one of those books that begged me to stay up way past my bedtime in order to keep reading. Not only did it evoke late nights, but it also caused some seriously lazy Sunday mornings hunkered down on the couch until practically 2pm.
Secrets of a Charmed Life is a historical fiction novel. The two main characters are Emmy and Julia, a pair of sisters, during WWII, set in London. Because I want to spare you, my fellow bookworms, of reads that are just not worth your time. Are you ready for Volume #2 of overrated books?

Book Club | Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood

Where I Lost Her by T. Greenwood was one of those extremely gripping books that sucks you in from page one. I cracked this book open on a bleak, rainy Friday evening after dinner, a tall glass of white wine in hand. By the time Sunday afternoon rolled around, I had finished. If you’ve read my previous reviews, you know that I’m a happy camper if I have a hard time parting with a book.
