Ingredients

  • 1 large onion or in tonights case, two small onions, halved and peeled
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
  • kosher salt to taste 😉
  • 1 pound pasta of choice
  • freshly chopped parley
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • crushed red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Add onion, butter, and tomatoes - with their juices - into a large pan, bring to a boil, then allow to simmer for 75 minutes. Adjust seasonings as needed.
  • Meanwhile, cook one pound of pasta of choice, add to your sauce. Top with fresh parsley, grated parmesan, and crushed red pepper flakes, if desired.
