When browsing, Luckiest Girl Alive claimed that fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train would fall for this page turner. When a publishing house feels their book is worthy enough to measure up the writing standards of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, and then proceed to slap that claim on said book cover, I will more likely than not add it to my Amazon order. (I know, I’m totally a sucker for marketing, sigh)
It’s Judy Blume. As in the Judy Blume who wrote Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. My absolute favorite book as a tween, in addition to about a dozen of others she wrote. I have always loved JB, and when her book came in my June PopSugar Box, I just about died of excitement.
Is it just me, or did the entire month of July seem to fly away with the blink of an eye? I can hardly believe it’s time for another monthly book review. I love receiving recommendations, so if you have any, dear readers, please share them with me!
Daily reading has always been a must for me, and I can assure you, there will always be a book I’m in the middle of on my nightstand. Some books are there longer than others (see #4), but I’d consider myself a semi-vivacious reader.
I’m proud to say that my girlfriends have begun coming to me for book recommendations, so I figured the blog would be a great place to discuss the ones I’ve crossed off my reading list for that particular month.
