If you’ve been following along here for a while, you know I’m a HUGE sucker for a multigenerational family drama, and tend to stamp them with a five star rating after I hungrily consume them. Don’t get me wrong, psychological thrillers are my bread and butter, but it’s a family drama that tends to stick with me for years and years. Books that I still think about today. I believe Ask Again, Yes will be one of them.

So far, 2019 is proving to be an excellent year for newly released books, and keep in mind, we’re just getting started. Fall always seems to bring in fabulous, fabulous new books. By the grace of God, I’ve managed to cross off eight books that were released this year, and I’m going to share with you my brief thoughts on each.

THAT ENDING THOUGH! Ohmygod the ending. When all the pieces finally fell together, I closed the book (or errm, closed out of the kindle app), and took several minutes to think about what I just read and process it. And by several minutes I mean like ten. I thought back to the very beginning and reexamined everything in the revolutionary perspective that just came to light, and quite frankly, it blew my mind. Hence the silent screaming that went on in my bedroom.

OK SOoOO!! the last book I felt driven enough to post about was Tara Westover’s Educated back in April. Since then, I’ve finished close to 20 other books… which means lot’s of posts to come.
