We are in the home stretch of our renovations! While literally every room of the house is being renovated, I’m primarily concerned with our kitchen. Countertops were installed this week, hardwood floors this upcoming week, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and hardware the following week, followed by backsplash, under-cabinet lighting, and paint. We are SO CLOSE to cooking ‘Soup of the Week’ in our new home, and I cannot wait!
In the meantime, here’s what been cooking this week. Corn Chowder makes for a killer lunch with a loaf of sour dough bread….

The weather in St. Louis is crazy. It’s currently fall and temperatures have jumped 35 degrees in either direction and back again in a 72 hour period. Both kids have constant runny noses, and my husband and I are running on very little sleep this week in particular (hello, Election 2020!). A large bowl of chicken noodle soup with french bread for lunch has been soul healing.

I almost didn’t have time to post this week, because two babies with mild colds, but here we are. Today, I’m sharing a Top 10-er, I’m a huge fan of this soup and highly suggest it to anyone as a fall go-to. Also, I’m proud to say that my (almost) two year old daughter can now identify sage. Oh my heart.

Are you sick of seeing this blue and white bowl yet? I am! We’re moving into our NEW HOME in less than 6 weeks, and I definitely plan on adding more variety to our bowl collection (which currently consists of four of these blue and white Antropologie bowls). But until then, I have zero desire to purchase anything new until we’re settled in the new space. ANYWAY, here’s this weeks Soup of the Week: Classic Minestrone! …
