If you’re keeping track, I’m now apart of three book clubs. And I love it! I love blogging about books here, on Peonies & Bees, but let’s be real. It’s so much more fun to do so with a group of fun and charming women over delicious food and wine. Lots, and lots of wine.

We all know there will come a point before the evening concludes, that we need to decide on a book for the following month. It’s rare that anyone has a list of concrete suggestions. And me, scrolling through my jumbled list of 100+ books I want to read on GR is a bit chaotic. So I’m compiling them here, on PB so I’m ready and well organized for next time!…

My husband and I go on a ridiculous amount of weekend trips. It seems like we’re always packing a carry-on to go somewhere. I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good at packing for those 3-day weekends, and I’m pretty proud of it — though, I must admit, having a capsule wardrobe definitely helps.

But… the one thing I will always and forever overpack are……

Sometimes I find myself in the middle of 7+ books at once. I never know why, or how that happens. Well, actually, that’s not entirely true. I have a long wait list at the library, and sometimes 3 become available at once. Sometimes the timing lines up perfectly when I have two book clubs in one week. Oh, and before all that, I was in the middle of two books that I purchased online. And right now, I’m in that situation exactly.

You may notice my GoodReads ‘currently reading’ section has been looking  completely and totally bonkers. Who in their right mind would read 7 books at once? Great question! —>

And since I have barely blogged at all this month (starting off the New Year strong, ladies! #fail), I thought I’d take the easy way out and recap the books I did manage to finish earlier this month, in addition to what I’m currently reading. I have so many books on my list and it just keeps growing as the days go by. Send help….

Book clubs are my favorite weeknight activity. Especially when the book of the month evokes a strong emotional reaction and sparks a lengthy discussion that you’ve been DYING to talk to others about. Oh so fun! There is seriously nothing that I love more than talking to someone about a book I loved or hated. I’m currently a part of two book clubs….

‘Twas the Saturday before Christmas… I’m currently sitting on a train, heading up to NYC for Christmas. My husband and I are spending the holiday weekend with his parents and his sister. With roughly three hours on the train between DC and NYC, I decided blogging is how I’m going to pass the time.
