Simple Meals + Honest Book Reviews + Practical Living

We’re very lucky. Our 11 month old baby girl will eat anything we put in front of her. And I mean anything. She’s happy with beef burgundy, calamari, lamb curry, chickpea masala, shrimp jambalya, and even pizza. Getting her to eat the daily recommended serving of fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein is not a problem at all, but it also means my meal planning and meal prep game need to step up tremendously. Especially since my husband and I are trying to cut down on dining out during the weekdays, and this includes lunches! So with that, here’s what my weekly grocery list currently looks like.

Peter Swanson is great. Prior to picking up a copy of Before She Knew Him, I had read two other novels of Swanson’s: The Kind Worth Killing and Her Every Fear. I immensely enjoyed both books, and had a feeling I’d enjoy Before She Knew Him as well. The book did not disappoint!

Oh Ruth Ware, you’ve managed to do it again! Turn of the Key is Ruth Ware’s fifth and latest release. And just like the four novels that came before it, Turn of the Key is a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, tightly gripping your book, heart pounding the whole time. Very enjoyable, utterly suspenseful, and very engaging!

If you’re in search of your next non-fiction and mental health interests you in the slightest, than this book is it! Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb was an absolutely fantastic and all encompassing read, I was completely hooked halfway through the first chapter. Let’s get into it, shall we?

If you’ve been following along here for a while, you know I’m a HUGE sucker for a multigenerational family drama, and tend to stamp them with a five star rating after I hungrily consume them. Don’t get me wrong, psychological thrillers are my bread and butter, but it’s a family drama that tends to stick with me for years and years. Books that I still think about today. I believe Ask Again, Yes will be one of them.
